Hi! I'm Terran McCanna, and this site contains samples of my hand-crafted jewelry, artwork and web design.
I graduated with dual degrees in Fine Arts and Biology in 1993 in Portland, Oregon, then followed a winding road which brought me to San Francisco at the height of the dot.com craze. I stocked shelves with Christmas ornaments, painted rocks, and of course, learned web design. When I'd had enough of the lunacy, I returned to Portland with my newfound love of the web, and continued exploring development technologies for eight years until I decided to follow my heart and move to Florida.
I have recently returned to my early love of libraries, and graduated with an MLS (Masters in Library & Information Science) from the University of South Florida. I now work as an Electronic Services Librarian with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on the lovely Florida coast.
To fulfill my love of arts and crafts, I've also started a small business selling my own hand-crafted jewelry and accessories. I am currently teaching myself to make my own glass beads using a variety of lampworking and fusing techniques. Look for these to show up in new jewelry on my web pages soon!
I've given this site my great-great-grandmother's name, in honor of my Yup'ik Eskimo ancestry, and in honor of all of my grandmothers before and since.

My family is everything to me, and every success in my life is dedicated to them.

Here are a few projects I worked on during my Masters in Library and Information Science studies:
