About Terran McCanna

Hi!

I graduated with dual degrees in Fine Arts and Biology in 1993 in Portland, Oregon, then followed a winding road which brought me to San Francisco at the height of the dot.com craze, back to Portland, then to Orlando (where I went to gradulate school for a Masters in Library & Information Science and got married to the best guy ever), and finally to Atlanta. I am currently the Virtual Services Librarian at Clayton County Library System and live in a 1956 brick ranch that Aaron and I are fixing up little bit by little bit. And of course, there is the menagerie (Trigger, Gidget, Buster, and an assortment of seasonal mockingbirds, cardinals, squirrels, and other critters that like our yard).

Influences

Nature, forests, leaves, gnarled wood, oceans, seaweed, babbling brooks, pebbles, rusty iron, and crows.

I've given this site my great-great-grandmother's name, in honor of my Yup'ik Eskimo ancestry, and in honor of all of my grandmothers before and since.

but he's still my baby brother.
