Description

"AMICO" is an acronym for "Art Museum Image Consortium." The AMICO Library brings together over 100,000 high quality digital images of art from contributing AMICO members for research, reference and instructional use by schools, universities, libraries and museums. All images in the library are cleared for non-commercial, educational use.


AMICO Members

AMICO is currently made up of 39 museums in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdoms. Members include The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), the Art Institute of Chicago, the J. Paul Getty Museum (Los Angeles), the Library of Congress (Washington, DC), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museums of Scotland, the Whitney Museum of American Art (New York), the Smithsonian American Art Museum (Washington, DC) and the Victoria and Albert Museum (London).
